2025 Early Childhood Champion Award

We also presented the Early Childhood Champion Award
to Rural Homes and Bright Futures, recognizing their
innovation, leadership and commitment to working
families.
In response to a severe child care shortage in Ouray,
Colorado, the partners created Family Child Care Homes
within new housing developments, providing tailored
spaces and comprehensive support for in-home providers.
Their collaboration – made possible with critical partners
like Mission Driven Finance – expanded access to quality
child care for local families and established a scalable
model for other rural communities.
