BUILDING UP
BIG IDEA
BIG IMPACT
Child care is tied
to community
success
EPIC provided 250+ hours of
technical support and project
support across Colorado
Through the Building Up initiative, EPIC’s research, thought leadership and 250+
hours of technical support helped communities across Colorado (especially in rural
and mountain areas) develop new, sustainable child care solutions.
With help from major funders and corporate supporters, we’ve helped advance
innovative financing strategies, strengthened public-private partnerships,
repurposed underused real estate, encouraged streamlined local regulations and
integrated child care into broader efforts like housing.
Building on this goal, we’re excited to share
a major next step: Gary Community
Ventures has committed up to $2 million in
guarantees to help child care providers
access facility financing, with Colorado
Enterprise Fund and First Southwest Bank
as primary lending partners. This
collaborative effort strengthens our
collective response to evolving business and
community needs, and we look forward to
sharing its impact in the coming year.
